It’s never too early to prevent premature aging. If you’ve noticed frown lines and other slight wrinkles that you’re worried may get larger with time, you may want to consider one of the following preventative cosmetic procedures.
Laser Resurfacing
Laser skin resurfacing is a great way to rejuvenate your skin. This preventative procedure is highly effective in erasing fine lines, tiny wrinkles, scars, birthmarks and other skin discolorations. It is performed under local anesthesia and requires little to no downtime.
Chemical Peels
Chemical peels can reduce the appearance of fine lines, tired complexions, scars and small wrinkles. These procedures work by removing the outer layer of dead or damaged skin, which makes room for new skin growth. This results in a fresher, more youthful appearance. While multiple treatments may be required, chemical peels are very safe. Results are often seen in one or two weeks.
Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a much less invasive form of dermabrasion. This procedure uses fine crystals to remove outer layers of dead or damaged skin. No anesthesia is required, and the procedure is virtually pain-free. As with chemical peels, multiple treatments may be necessary depending on your skin’s condition.
Each one of these three treatments is extremely safe and highly effective in treating some of the skin problems that women will begin to notice in their 20s. While no one can turn back the hands of time completely, there are many things young women can do to preserve the youthful appearance of their skin. We’re here to help.
